AFRICAMIX FESTIVAL PROMOTES TOURING FESTIVAL TO BENFIT AFRICAN NEEDY CHILDREN
SACRAMENTO, CA - A Volunteer organization formed by a group of African immigrants is promoting a spectacular touring Music and Arts Festival of the African Continent and its Diaspora that will benefit needy African children.
The festival, which will travel to 15 countries over a nine-month period, benefits non-profit and non-governmental organizations active in providing residential services and therapeutic foster care for abandoned, abused, and neglected children of Africa.
The Web site, www.africamix.com, promotes and strengthens the humanitarian mission of the Africamix Festival and encourages volunteer worker participation in the many countries the festival will visit. Africamix website will also provide continuing updates of event schedules, exhibit and performing artist information, sponsorship news, and related topics of interest.
Benefiting non-profit organizations will collect festival net proceeds at the gate during each of the fifteen- country, two-day celebrations. The arts and music festivals, appropriate for all ages, will provide a forum for guest speakers to promote public awareness of the ongoing impact of child abuse and neglect in Africa. In addition, it will provide an opportunity to express gratitude to the many non-profit groups who have dedicated their energies and efforts to helping Africa's needy children.
According to Amede Kyumbwa, festival spokersperson, the nine-month festival tour will bring peoples together to celebrate their incredible diversity while offering an opportunity to many people to see the world from the perspective of abused and neglected children, he said. "And as artists and music lovers, we all have a role to play."
