ATLANTA, GA - Aug. 29, 2002 - Africamix festival coordinator Augustine Kamalan, announced today the musical line up for the Africamix Festival Atlanta that will be held on October 12 - 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Grant Park. "The net proceeds from this two day alcohol free family oriented event will benefit HIV/Aids orphans children in Africa" said Mr. Kamalan.

Performing artists include: Red Rat (PRWEB) August 31, 2002 -Pop), Suave Band (Haitian music), Done Yute (Reggae Sunsplash, Sting), Yondo Sister (Soukous from the Democratic Republic of Congo), Jj (r&b), Ras Rebel (reggae), Byron J (r&b), (reggae), Gloria (gospel music), Urukumbuzi (Rwandese Traditional Dancers), Dancers Seed & Soi (Dancehall Reggae), E.B. Boys (Congolese Music), South Sudan Band (African Music), Vacenao (Salsa Afro-Cuban Music), Mwamikazi African Dancers (African modern dance), Electric Root Ensemble (Reggae), Temple Yard (reggae), Nappy Roots (hip hop). Mamadou Dioke (west African Musician).

According to Mr. Claude, the two-day multicultural music and arts festival is designed to draw attention to the problem of child abuse and neglect and educate the public about local, national and international prevention and intervention programs and services.
